From the US to Nicaragua to Tanzania

Boats

We in InnerCHANGE WORKS and Go for Good Travel have a trip for all “Armchair Travelers” in this time of limited travel during a pandemic.  The last 6 posts on this Tapestry blog have been stories of women in the United States followed by two stories of “Women of Courage and Commitment” from Nicaragua, Amaya Coppens, and Mausi Kühl.

Get comfortable in your favorite chair as we will be flying to Tanzania.  This country is just south of the equator and borders the Indian Ocean.  Tanzania is East Africa’s largest country.  If you’ve never visited this magnificent country, then prepare to be dazzled by the scenic beauty and touched by the pictures of the people in Dar Es Salaam, Moshi, and Zanzibar.

When you think of Africa, a kaleidoscope of images might spring into your mind; perhaps herds of zebras, wildebeest and giraffes, a Masai warrior striding through a pasture in the background, a snow-capped mountain rising out of the dusty plains… all of these images reflect the beauty of a country on the African continent and that is Tanzania.

In the following posts on this blog, I will be introducing you to some of the leading women of “Courage and Commitment” in Tanzania.  Many of these women I have had the honor to know and to work with over the years.  So, check back in a few weeks to meet these amazing entrepreneurial women, but in the meantime, if you’re ready, then let’s travel to Tanzania…

“Up in the air you breathed easily, drawing in a vital assurance and lightness of heart.  In the highlands you woke up in the morning and thought: Here I am, where I ought to be.”
~ Isak Dinesen, Out of Africa
